Waking Up Early – Day 1

Today is my first attempt to become an early riser. Or shall I say, to return to being an early riser? During school year I am up at 5:30-5:45 sharp. And after doing it for a few weeks, you feel fine.

This time I would like to train myself to wake up at four. Four AM that is. Today is my day 1. I have congratulated myself on getting out of bed, brushing my teeth, washing my face, checking email,and reading a few blogs posts. Oh, and don’t forget coffee.

My plan is to make early rising a treat, something that is to be enjoyed. I absolutely love the quietness, the crickets, the calm, the absence of traffic. But most of all, all the extra time you get! Already I feel that I have accomplished more than most people. I plan to use my early mornings to think, write, strategize, read, study, meditate, and exercise.
